We are back in SA after a 24 hour journey home. It was quite tough on Roscoe – me as well actually! – but we’re over the jet lag now and life is back to normal.

We had wonderful, wonderful service at Fortis – right from the cleaners to the nurses to the Drs and surgeons. Neyana was particularly helpful in the retrieval of our bags which arrived 3 days late – due to the fact that I was unaware that I had to identify them in Mumbai although they had been booked through to Bangalore from Johannesburg. So one lives and learns!

The whole experience was amazing – Dr Rehan offered to let me watch the surgery – which I did – stood right between Roscoe and Dr Rehan – it was AMA-ZING. I did some more research on him in the 10 days that we spent in the hospital – he has quite a CV and I’m absolutely convinced that there is no-one in the world that is in his league. When my husband needs a by-pass again – he had his 10 years ago – we will definitely be travelling to Dr Rehan – I will get in touch with you when that becomes necessary!

Roscoe is much better – his communication skills are improving every day – and he can hear again and one can have a conversation with him which has been impossible for at least a month! Whether this is as a result of medications received here in Dec/Jan or the surgery or a combination of the 2 – I don’t really care!
Thank you so much for all arrangements and help – I am so glad we went – and very happy to now know about the incredible medical treatments available in India.
