Our narrow network of Centers of Excellence is present in the US and scattered throughout the world. Our credentialing process was designed by International Healthcare consultant and Harvard Medical School lecturer, Sharon Kleefield. Key qualities of all our providers include: international accreditation (domestically: JCAHO, internationally: mostly JCI), board certified physicians, latest medical technology (e.g. CyberKnife, DaVinci), English speaking staff and experience helping Western patients.
Patient-Centric Case Management
Our case management process is managed by WorldMed Assist’s own case managers, all of whom are registered nurses. The ring below emphasizes the eight key steps that all our medical travelers go through to ensure a successful medical travel event. On average, our case managers spend about 20 hours with each patient and the contact begins well before a patient boards a plane, and ends two years after the patient returns back home. To assist our employers to implement and launch a successful medical travel program, WorldMed Assist personnel provide the following support: plan design updates (including the structure of incentives), Plan Documentation legal language suggestions, cost savings and program justification analysis, suggestions for risk mitigation strategies, program launch strategies, collateral templates, webinar presentations, on-going employee education.
WorldMed Assist actively works with key channel partners to help them service the Plan Sponsors. Types of channel partners include: benefits brokers and consultants, third party administrators (TPA’s), stop loss carriers, medical management firms, others.
