Dr. Miguel Rosado, Star Medica Hospital, Merida Mexico
Doctor William Miguel Rosado, Jr. serves as the interventional radiologist on our WorldMed Assist Surgical Team for CCSVI treatment in Mexico. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he has been appointed Director of the MR Department for Hospital Star Medica Merida. He is currently the Chief of the CT Department of Hospital Regional I.S.S.S.T.E. Dr. Rosado is fully certified in the field of Diagnostic Radiology, and has three different licenses for practice in Mexico. His impressive span of credentials and education make him one of the most sought-after physicians in the Yucatan region. We are pleased to present to you one of Mexico’s finest.
Education and Training
In 1987 Dr. Rosado received his education at the School of Medicine of Autonomous University of Yucatan, located in the city of Merida, Mexico. During his medical studies from 1985 to 1986 he interned with the Hospital General O’Horan in Merida. Afterwards, from 1986 to 1987 Dr. Rosado demonstrated his commitment to serving the community by completing a Social Service Community Program with Centro de Salud de Progreso.
Dr. Rosado’s residencies were completed from 1988 until 1991, under the direction of the Peninsular Institute of Radiology in Merida, as well as the University Hospital of Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico. These are two highly ranked facilities in the region.
In 1991 Dr. Rosado received international medical experience in the U.S. through fellowship programs at the University of California, San Diego. While there, he further advanced his medical knowledge by participating in a Sectional Imaging Research fellowship, as well as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging fellowship.
Authorship and Continuing Education
Dr. Rosado is a highly accomplished author and researcher. His publications include five journal publications, over ten scientific exhibits, and five research papers. For his thesis, he authored a work under the title of “Fine Needle Aspiration Biopsy under Diagnostic Imaging Guidance”. In addition, he has delivered over 70 different lectures and seminars to various audiences in the professional medical community.
By attending various symposiums and conferences, Dr. Rosado constantly participates in continuing medical education (CME). This helps him stay informed regarding the latest developments in diagnostic radiology.
Dr. Rosado’s many years of experience and highly specialized expertise makes him a valuable resource for the WorldMed Assist Surgical Team. Over the years he has been the recipient of a wide array of medical awards and mentions. He is also member of several types of professional medical organizations. Dr. Rosado adds a depth of vision to our programs that is truly unique and outstanding. We are grateful to work with such a highly decorated and celebrated physician on our team.
